Ooh, do explain further. How did this incident serve as a "perfect illustration ... regarding the differences in the general success levels in the U.S. of Asians and African-Americans"?

Kind of like Josh Duggar, no? He did the crime. Seems any and all criticism of him, here and elsewhere, was then warranted. After all, Josh Duggar started it.

Idiots on talk shows, looking to make this issue into a Ferguson byproduct.

This is amazingly stupid. Not as stupid as your stuff on the other thread, but it's in the realm.

Is it? At least one poster here was quite upset at the level of vitriol directed at Josh Duggar. All of it was avoidable, of course, had Josh Duggar not been a serial child molester.

If someone really bench presses 600 pounds, it's not likely they didn't it through hard work and organic smoothies.

I do think that in the all-consuming concern over test scores, at many schools we have abandoned the shop and auto classes and tried to get everyone to do well on the test, even if it means their high schools aren't doing anything to help a lot of kids after school is out.

A really good program at schools -- or at least magnent schools -- that focuses on thinks like trades and such would be great for students who aren't in the Math, Science, Technology wheelhouse.

It's pathetic that WT, Shotglass and a few others refuse to acknowledge this incident was about a supposedly trained police officer assaulting an obviously troubled teen-age girl because she refused to get up from her desk. It occurs to me that before we are even in position to adequately remedy the socio-economic issues, including insidious racism and repression, that are at the heart of black Americans' historic struggles, we probably first need to better address the kind of backwards-ass thinking like this that helps perpetuate it.

It's interesting how some feel showing "disrespect" is about the worst thing one human can do to another.

To which "some" are you referring?
