Ben just would have told God to send the flood to the other side of the world and wipe out the Aztecs or somebody.

Is someone "smart" depends on the perspective.

A carpenter once told me that "educated mother fuckers are some of the dumbest sons of bitches I know."

There are a lot of people here who could not change the oil in their car or replace a light fixture. A lot of people think you would be an idiot.

There are people who cannot read a newspaper. A lot of people here would think that person to be an idiot.

"Smart" is not an all-encompassing term. People are skilled or gifted in certain areas. Shit, I'm sure I've had mensa members pour me coffee at Starbucks.

Carson might be "smart," but I doubt he is skilled enough to lead a country.

The thing is, though, that nobody is truly capable of demonstrating beforehand whether they are skilled enough. For every first-term president it's by definition "a job unlike any I have ever had before."

It's also important to remember that the primary amateur who built that boat couldn't hold his liquor and took his clothes off before he passed out.

Definitely. His job is about the same as a surgeon's.
