1. Mentioned a few pages back and you may have remembered in January in Paterson NJ a teacher tried taking a phone from a student in class and was assaulted. Not sure of this school's policy. If the policy is no phones in class, would think the teacher tells her to put it away and if she does not comply, he tries until he calls the SRO.
2. Would think the smartest move would be for the teacher to keep quiet.
4. The sheriff is definitely trying to avoid riots and cover his ass. He fires the officer and he is saying he doesn't condone it.

 

Grabbing for the phone was likely to turn into a physical confrontation. I don't blame the teacher at all for not doing that and instead calling in an administrator.

That doesn't sound at all racist.

 

A generation or two ago, police brutality and child abuse were tolerated a lot more than they are now. There was also supposedly less crime and kids were better behaved.
Somehow I think the people who really believe that are full of shit.
