Actually Zimmerman was told to not pursue by a police dispatcher, not a police officer.

 

The easy response would be saying something like "I'm sorry you're clueless."

Difference is he was not ordered by a police officer. He was ordered by a dispatcher.

 

If it were an officer he would have been legally obligated to obey and because it was a dispatcher he was not?
