    I said (drumroll, please) . . . define "REGULARLY."

Yes, racial profiling "exists." As I stated before, I know of many people to whom it has happened . . . once.

But it's the extent to which it exists that says everything. If I ask 100 random black people, "How many times have you been pulled over for no reason other than your skin color in the past 10 years?" . . . what do you think the average number will be?

And what average number would be acceptable to you?

At what point would you suggest black people stop "getting over it" and start taking action?

    Like shooting cops?

I suggest they "stop getting over it and start taking action" at the point in which such ''action'' doesn't likely contribute toward making a bad situation worse and occasionally tragic.

In other words, about two weeks from never.

    0.85337329326 seems about right.

That's perfectly reasonable coming from someone who will never, ever experience it.

To get back on topic, I don't think this particular case had anything to do with race. This had to do with this cop not getting what he felt was due respect and reacting to what he felt was disrespect with excessive force.

That's a reasonable question. And frankly, I agree with you. NO racial profiling is acceptable.

But you have people acting like it happens to every person of color on every block in America.

Either you agree that something is the worst thing possible or you are denying it even exists. #liberalism

The numerator is much, much more important than the denominator to the people who could potentially fall victim to it.

    I.E., not us.

Pointing that out does neither of the things you suggest.

I've been profiled. More than once. And I have less than zero rhythm.

We should poll the black SJ members.

    Say, are there any left?
