If people voted based on a candidates policies instead of charm and charisma, Reagan would have lost to Carter.

I think he's following President Obama's lead. Trust me ...

I don't know how old you are, so you may not remember (or have even been around), but it's not like Carter's policies were settin' the world on fire.

    You know what?

Obama supporters aren't posting memes comparing Obama's transparency favorably with Ben Carson's.

And, remember, I've got no dog in these fights. I'm not voting.

Reagan won the presidency with brillant speeches and debate performances. He didn't win on policies.

    That's how it usually goes.

I assume you're planning to vote Republican, so I have to take your posts about any of this with that in mind.

Me? I'm not voting. So everything you'll read from me, you can be assured, is completely intellectually honest. I have no dog in this fight, and I won't.

I suspect that if you had an argument that disputed mine, you would have employed it by now.

I'm not sure how what I've said is even in dispute, or controversial.

Personal narrative has always played a large role in who we select as President.

The left knows this. The media knows this. It's why Carson, Trump and Rubio's narratives must be destroyed, and why Obama's must be defended.

It was especially important in 2008.

In 2004, the Dems tried to portray their nominee as a war hero; a patriot; as someone prepared to take over as Commander in Chief on day one, in the middle of a war.

We saw how that blew up in their face.

The same thing could not be allowed to happen in 2008.
