    Then don't affiliate yourself with a party. I never have. I think I lean liberal mostly, but I've voted Democrat, Republican, Green and Libertarian.

    It doesn't take that much effort to have an open mind and still fulfill your duty as a citizen of this country. If others can't, who gives a shit?

    People seem really upset that Carson "made a lot of money" off of his autobiography.

    It's almost like that was the goal!

    Obama won in '08 because the Republicans didn't have one success they could point to from the previous eight years to tell the average middle-class or poor voter, "this is why you should vote for our guy again."

    Economy was in tatters, the Iraq War was a failure, the Katrina response, for what it could have been, was poor and the worst terrorist attack in the country's history happened on their watch. But hey, the flag pin business was booming.

    McCain had little chance against anyone.
