    The president erred by not doing the one thing good leaders do: pretending to care.

    Maybe it would. Maybe it wouldn't.

    At a minumum, you'd think the administration would want to have an environment where everyone feels included and safe and that their voices are heard and deemed to be important.

    So the real problem isn't that the president's actions did nothing to alleviate the alleged problem of racism on campus so much as he didn't placate the entitled students at the heart of this controversy enough for them to feel like their concerns were addressed?
