What's great is that nobody, but nobody, was as aggressive in unraveling the Rolling Stone story as the Washington Post.

More U.Va. grads than Mizzou grads there?

I'm not so sure. As I said earlier, him getting tagged with this reflects, IMO, the efforts of a disgruntled faculty to undercut him. They were so disgruntled, in fact, that it appears they were willing to do pretty much anything to get rid of him. So when the students introduced a flawed narrative of the system president as somehow responsible, the faculty were only too happy to play along.

If the story fits the left's narrative, it doesn't matter that it didn't actually happen.

So, a swastika drawn in ashes was found on campus back in April.

Still looking for photographic, or other, evidence of this incident:

Basi said student affairs staff met with residents in Mark Twain to assure them there was an investigation taking place and to share what students could do to help protect themselves.

MUPD is not releasing photos of the graffiti pending its investigation.

The MUPD investigation of it must be over by now. Does anyone know if they ever released the pictures?

    Here's what's reported:

The MU Police Department is investigating two different instances of graffiti and racial slurs in the Mark Twain residence hall.

On Thursday, April 9 and Friday, April 10, graffiti containing swastikas and threatening language was found on the ground floor of a stairwell.

A student group, Students Supporting Israel, said in a press release the first incident included a swastika, the Illuminati symbol and the word "heil," all drawn in ash. A day after MU department of residential life student staff members removed the graffiti, a second incident was reported and included a swastika and the words," You've been warned." Student staff members painted over the graffiti shortly after and notified the MU police department.

Jared Kaufman, a resident in Mark Twain residence hall and president of Students Supporting Israel (SSI) said he was very hurt by the vandalism.

Two separate incidents. Please tell me there's some proof of them.

They only get pissed about things that actually happened.

Interesting. I wonder if that angle will get any traction once the better story dies down.

The narrative that racism is bad?

Newsbusters tracks down three instances where the Times mentions the poop swastika:

Three specific Times references not containing the word "allegedly" in describing or referring to the swastika-feces incident include the following:

    • In a report primarily about the University's Pre-World War II history of racism — "Then last month, a swastika was drawn on a residence hall in human excrement."
    • In coverage of the resignation of University President Timothy Wolfe — "Later that month, the swastika was found, scrawled on a wall in feces."
    • In coverage of the boycott by some Missouri football players — "racial slurs hurled at black students and feces smeared into the shape of a swastika on a wall in a residence hall."
Despite No Publicly Available Proof, Press Treats Mizzou Feces-Swastika Incident As Fact

    No one does original reporting.

As soon as one media outlet reports something, it becomes fact, and everyone else just goes with it. It's disgraceful.

A fitting end to this story would be that Sabrina Rubin Erdely is named Dean of the Mizzou School of Journalism.

No, that narrative that racism is running rampant. For that narrative, you'd think there would actually be some recorded evidence. A picture, a phone-video, an actual witness.
