No, in the case of swastika story, he means no identifiable witnesses, PERIOD ...be it black, white, purple or whatever ...at least if that link poin posted is accurate.

That claim increasingly sounds like nothing more than an urban myth that got reported as if fact by a lot of credible and powerful outlets.

If only there were a place around Columbia, Mo. where journalism was practiced, and taught well.

The Newsbusters writer loses a lot of credibility for whining about the NYT not using the word "allegedly," a word that should almost never appear in journalistic writing.

Should the NYT have couched the poop swastika claim better? Yes, but not with that word.

Yes, more couching is what journalism needs.

Cellphone pics/videos of everything in life these days but none of the poopsticka? Somewhat difficult to fathom...

The whole poop swastika thing is kind of silly and always was a head scratcher. I was talking more about the yelling-the-n-word-from-a-truck incident.

Would certainly have been more plausible if it was a poop rebel flag.

That's what the Laurie Family is for. Mizzou is Oklahoma State with a good J-school.

Links trimmed to fit length restriction, which is admittedly not ideal.
