Re: Ruffalo, if you haven't seen The Normal Heart, it's pretty intense and full of passionate speeches, back and forths, like this.

He was great in "The Kids Are Allright."

He's great in pretty much everything. He's helping fill the the Phillip Seymour Hoffman void. "You Can Count On Me" and "Begin Again" are also great.

First time I recognized him was in Foxcatcher. He was very good.

Give it a rest, Dick. So I erroneously lumped you in with YF, who clearly does. Get over it.

Very intense movie. Ruffalo was the star of stars, but Schreiber's role was very good, too.
Despite being so intrigued with the newsroom and the reporting, throughout the whole movie, I just kept wondering if I ever want to bring this movie up to my Catholic friends.
Two women in the theater got up and left after about 45 minutes. I'm guessing they are Catholic and were offended.

Assuming they had any idea what the movie was about, it seems odd they'd get offended after 45 minutes.

I haven't seen the movie. But maybe they overly focused on Michael Keaton in the trailers and thought it was going to be a The Paper sequel?

Have read that Keaton took a similar approach to his character

it would be fun to see what Henry Hackett would be up to 20 years later.

I see him hanging on a few more years at the Sun, replacing Alicia when she got whacked in a corporate restructuring, getting bought out himself in the early 2000s and bouncing around unemployed for a couple years, resurfacing about 2005 as a midsize daily ME and getting shoved to the side in the rush to all digital.

I think he and Marty would have had one more kid and divorced. He was one of those guys who can't leave their work at work.

I doubt any sane Catholic would be offended. The Vatican isn't. They may have left because of the frank talk of molestation.
