Relax. Nobody is going to take your guns. Though if your first thoughts after a shooting like this are "Oh noes, now Obama is going to take my guns," you really need to reexamine your priorities in life.

Let no one deny that Muslim extremists are roughly equal with right-wing extremists in endangering our country through mass violent incidents. Not including the insanely high overall murder rate because we can't have any meaningful gun control nationwide and as a culture we own about 600 times as many guns as we need.

 

The murder rate in America is at a 45-year low and less than half what it was in 1980, but the narrative of this country being the Wild Wild West where people get murdered by the millions is far easier to cling to, especially with the help of the liberal elitists in the media trying to drive that agenda.

 

How's it compare to other countries in 2015?

 

Seriously, has there really been any attempt to take anyone's guns in this country?
