I dunno what he'd do domestically. You're not just going to ram through giant tax cuts and slash benefits and gut health care for four years. People will riot their ass off in the form of major crime waves. If Cruz doesn't know that, he'd better ask somebody.

Foreign policy, though...Cruz has said he wants to find out if "sand to glow in the dark." That's unhinged, dangerous thinking, back to proxy wars of the Reagan era, which helped land us in this mess in the first place.

The greatest week of the campaign to this point was when the media wrote a bunch of stories about how Trump had finally gone too far by attacking Doc fucking McStuffins.

Yeah, and it'll still be the libruhl media's fault.

Well, first, it's conducted by NBC, a subsidiary/ puppet of corporatist media titan Comcast (and not incidentally a major sponsor of Trump).

The Ed Meese Justice Department had long lasting impact. The right SCOTUS picks make a big deal.

Who you appoint to the EPA, so much more, make a big difference.

Even taking tax cuts and Obamacare out of the equation, how a Conservative governs vs. how a moderate governs is a big difference.

On the bright side, for the first time in decades, we may actually have a party's national convention turn into something interesting instead of a cheerleader fest.

I don't think Trump and Cruz are in cahoots, but I think Cruz's strategy is to follow the direction Trump is taking the campaign but stay just far enough back that when Trump finally crosses the line and does something so outrageous it kills his campaign, Cruz can be right up to the line without crossing it.

What I'm starting to wonder, and I'd bet Cruz is too, is whether there actually is a line.

Just wait til ol' Fuhrer Trump starts bayoneting puppies at the Westminster Dog Show. That will drop his poll numbers a few tenths for sure.

Trump stands out front and finds the line so Cruz can toe it? Frankly, it would be brilliant strategy, if you don't mind being a cynic.

I've begun to believe that as soon as Donald Dump tries to step over the line, it recedes, like a mirage in the desert.
