Besides bombings, building walls and whining about intangible bullshit like leadership, what ideas have Republicans offered to this problem?

 

Even Dick Cheney is against Trump's plan!

 

What about our Muslim athletes who compete out of the country?

Yeah, based on what I was told on an earlier thread, that must be a long list!

But, no, he said it wouldn't apply to citizens.

 

Duh, speak English. This is America after all.

 

I love how Trump's unworkable "plan" that would deny access to non-citizens is being slammed by a shocked and offended mainstream media, and other politicians.

Meanwhile, the Times unworkable "plan" that would require citizens to surrender firearms they currently own has been hailed as brave and necessary.

And, only one of the two is being asked, "how would this plan work?!"

 

Trump's plan would have been hailed as courageous if it involved him either: 1) coming out as gay; or B) announcing he's having gender reassignment surgery.

 

Well, only one of the two has a realistic, if not likely, path to becoming the leader of the free world.

That's not to defend the NYT editorial. They have to come stronger than boilerplate platitudes for a front-pager.
