And, so, unless you do think that's Trump's end game, then comparing Trump to Hitler, even in the context of their respective "rise", is really disgusting. This has been universally acknowledged for decades. But, in this political season, people are tripping over themselves to make the comparison.

 

If ISIS sees a boost thanks to Trump's comments, can we ban him for being a terrorist supporter?

 

Well, he did say he was going to "take out" family members of terrorists. That's not Hitler, but it ain't great.

This thinking is a joke too.

If a Muhammad cartoon, or a change in US immigration policy, will make you join or sympathize with ISIS, then there is a much bigger problem with Islam than we are ready to acknowledge.

It boggles the mind that people want to paint Muslims as wonderful, peaceful people, but also say we can't say anything that might upset them, or they might become "radicalized" or join a group like ISIS.

Those things can't both be true.

 

Trump's thinking is the joke here. So is the effort to defend him.
