Lies, damn lies and politics

    It certainly wasn't YF.

I really appreciate YFs curiosity and the amount of time he puts in, but as I said he's locked into his positions and ignores any attempt to actually discuss them unless he can easily shoot someone down. If you post facts contrary to his stance he changes the subject. I don't even know what the San Bern thread is anymore. Just YF asking the same questions repeatedly. My eyes glazed over 30 pages ago.

    Well, that's ironic.

If he was rolling with the superior intelligence and top-flight education that's typical of journalists, he might not have fallen into that pattern.

I am down with finding out who isn't "locked into their positions" regarding politics on this board.

Yeah, if only a journalism message board had more journalists. But it's not to be.

Oh, I don't feel like it does. And it's better than it used to be. I'm gonna say, 5-7 years ago, it was pretty bad, and it was more personal.

    Haha.

Saw and replied to that post before I saw that I had become a subject of the conversation.

And I almost didn't even click on this thread.

Between this and the "YF Files" thread, it's a good day for my ego.

Of course most are locked into their positions. The difference is being able to understand/discuss other views.

If journalists weren't intelligent, you wouldn't hang around this board.

    Oh, and just for fun...

Positions I've changed my mind in since joining here:

    Death penalty
    Gay marriage
    Transgender issues/rights

You know, just a couple of small things.
