He will get better as his receivers get better.

His receivers have had damn good years.

A show of hands for everyone who thought the Giants were going to cough up that lead and lose last night.

Also, how in the hell could the Dolphins let Beckham get so wide open on the GWTD? I mean, how do you forget to guard the best player on the field?

    Solid, yes, definitely. But
If Seattle makes the playoffs I'd say Wilson is a better candidate. But is that like digging your own 6 foot hole and then jumping out in one leap? 16/0 TD/Int over the last 4 games. Newton's numbers, aside from wins, are roughly similar to Eli Manning. Brady could go undefeated for Carolina. Could Newton win 11 with the Pats roster?

It would be impossible to vote for anyone else if he goes 16-0 or 15-1. But Carson Palmer is having a better year and if the Cards end up within a game of Carolina, why isn't he as deserving?

FYI, Eli Manning is having a very good year.

Also, you're forgetting Cam's running. His seven rushing TDs are only two off the NFL lead and his 42 rushing first downs are tied for sixth in the league.

Carson Palmer is also a very strong candidate for league MVP.

The Giants were awful most of the night. Looked like they had 8 men on defense and 8 on offense. Their draw plays on first down were an automatic TFL and their tackling was Big XII.

Yet Miami remembered who they were late.

Cam Newton might not be the team MVP. Josh Norman deserves some love.

Yes he does. Norman has been huge. I haven't checked his stats lately, but at one point, opposing passers had a 24-point-something rating when they threw at his man, which is something like 15 points lower than the rating for a passer who does not complete a single attempt.

Yes and no. Prolonging the agony has been a Giant speciality this season. I half-expect a big win over the Panthers and then for them to lose their last two in spectacularly incompetent fashion.

    This is nuts.

That isn't nuts. Alabama quarterbacks have been pedestrian game managers at best, and more often flat-out sucked, for a good long time. Even the Saban dynasty was built on two guys who were middling prospects.

I do think McCarron has a little bit of a future, but he's by far the best of the entire lot probably since Richard Todd.

Even Johnny Fucking Football has won a game as a starter.
