    You don't have a bench?

Yes, I do. Dumbbells, a bench, and the famed treadmill.

All you're missing is a sledgehammer and a giant tire.

My 85s are on the way. I can't wait to give them a try. Huge barrier for me to push through.

Couldn't get 325 on the squat Thursday. Maxed at 315. Got four reps at that.

Worked my way up to 285 today with sets of 10. That last 10 at 285 was no joke.

Worked up to 185 on the bench with sets of 10, but could only get six at that. Best ever is 235.

235 for one rep or a set?

One rep. I'd like to have that at 250 by spring.

Got there a little sooner than expected.

250 on the bench and 365 squat today.

I got a pair of 90s dumbbells a few weeks ago, though my first attempt to get them up didn't get much past the starting position. In fairness to me, this was after three or four sets of 85s, at about 5-7 reps each. Tomorrow's a chest workout, so maybe I'll try again.

Bench-pressed for the first time in four years today. With the layoff and an injured deltoid, it was painful just to do a couple reps of 205.

Decided to go to spin class for the first time in my life. Have been an avid biker pretty much all my life but I fell out of the riding habit after moving, partly because of the new job, partly because of the weather. Figured spin would be a way to get back into riding shape while trying out a new thing. It's definitely not easy. Thought my heart was going to explode the first class. Got a little easier the second class and then my legs were just totally thrashed in the third class. I think I'll keep going once a week, mixing it in with my regular weight/cardio routine.

Second day back at the gym during my lunch hour. A little lifting, a little cardio (rowing and treadmill). I'm pleasantly sore.
