On a related note, a Something Has to Give matchup between the Chiefs and Bengals would be enjoyable.

One thing the Chiefs have to be wary about is winning out and drawing the Steelers in the first round. Although if they take the West and the three seed, I assume Pittsburgh ends up with the fifth seed.

Some KC type pointed out on Twitter that there are seven-week-old babies who have never seen a Royals or Chiefs loss.

Another interruption: a few weeks ago I said Seattle would be lucky to be 8-8 this year. I was wrong. In my defense, the Seahawks were playing like crap at the time and couldn't hold onto a fourth quarter lead.
That said, Seattle got some lucky breaks yesterday since the Browns had problems catching the ball. I thought Johnny Football actually looked pretty decent for the most part.
Now back to the regular program. "60 Minutes" is coming up next, followed by "Murder She Wrote," except on the West Coast.

I, too, thought 8 wins was the ceiling for the Seahawks. Russell Wilson and his receivers (!) have turned it on over the past month.

We'll see if Lynch is ready for the playoffs, or if they have to stay with this rotating-practice-squaders group of running backs

The Seahawks are definitely hot, but the top of the NFC is stacked and it will be difficult for them to win three road games.

If they get the No. 5 seed (which could happen next week), Seattle would travel to the NFC East survivor, so that's a winnable game.

After that, yeah, it's a battle.

Yeah, they'll get the 5 seed and kill the Redskins, Eagles or Giants.

    Another Packers-Vikings matchup, too. Yawn.

  10. I thought the Steelers were locked into the six seed,* unless by some Miracle Cincy craps its pants and loses the last two games?

*Assuming they win Sunday and the J-E-T-S, Jets! Jets! Jets! drop one to the Patriots.

A Denver win over Cincy locks up the No. 2 seed for the Broncos, right?

Who'd a thunk it. Peyton Manning is the lowest rated QB in the NFL

The offensive line has really ironed things out and given Wilson much better protection. He was sacked an average of 3.7 times per game over the first nine and they were 4-5. He's been sacked seven times in the last five (1.4 per game) and they've won all five.
