Loved that part. And it was the only reveal that really surprised the audience.

 

The C3PO reveal surprised me, because he basically photobombs the camera and shoves his face in between Han and Leia.

 

Good call. I forgot about that one.

 

I thought that was the perfect introduction for C3PO. It was 3PO in all is awkward awesomeness oblivious to an emotionally touching moment.

I also would love to hear what the writers envisioned R2 saying to C3PO when he woke up. Based on 3PO's reaction, it had to be pretty vulgar.

 

Totally agree. The first thing I thought was "Classic C3PO."

 

Late to this thread, catching up. I think building the Death Star/Planet Destroyer is like invading Iraq. There is always someone trying to convince you it's a great idea and not a financial boondoggle, and yet...

 

Don't know how I missed this one earlier, but it's more like 35-40 years. The first Death Star was in Star Wars 4, the second Death Star in Star Wars 6, and then Force Awakens is 30 years after Star Wars 6.

 

The first two Death Stars were not planet-sized. They were smaller than the forest moon of Endor, for example.

 

So what I think you're saying is Supreme Leader Snoke is Darth Cheney and Halliburton is behind it all?
