So 1-30 teams are good for the league?

What I find amazing is that even in their third year of the "rebuild," they seem to be getting worse. I don't see them getting to 20 wins this year. And by the time they get to the mediocre level, the high draft picks will be free agents and blow town. One more year for Noel, two years for Stauskas and Emblid and three for Okafor. That's your "core" and the clock is ticking.

I predict Embiid will not play a single second for the Sixers.

Sam Hinkie has been great at Phase 1, Stockpiling Draft Picks. He doesn't seem to know or care what he's supposed to do next.

Embiid is likely going down as one of the great what-ifs.

Sure, why not? I think one of the most the most interesting storylines this season is that we've got both a one win and a one loss team at near mid-season, two franchises simultaneously challenging history, but in completely opposite directions. When they assume more mundane and typical regular season records this NBA season becomes more boring and worth ignoring until playoff time.

1-30 is great. Kind of hope they go 3-79 or something, just because.

The old "Sport" magazine did simultaneous pieces back in 1973 on the Lakers ("Life at the Top") and 76ers ("Life at the Bottom"). Lakers were coming off their historic 69-13 season (although they "only" won 60 in 1972-73), and 76ers were en route to their historic 9-73 debacle.

I think it would be cute, but find it hard to believe they could go 5-46

    GET IT ON
    76ERS
    CHARLES BARKLEY
    DISSED LARRY BIRD

In modern basketball news, those Dellavedova fouls on the block on free throw attempts were amazing.

Curry has a lingering leg thing and might miss the next two games.

Warriors' Stephen Curry could miss games on Texas trip

This is why they're going to have a hard time getting to 72-10. They are overly cautious (and rightly so) about injuries and usage. It's also why they were the only team left standing by the end of last season.

Maybe the Harrison twins would have been better off staying in school. Aaron can't get on the floor in Charlotte where he makes the league minimum. Brother Andrew is making 30K in the D-League.

Meanwhile Frank Kaminsky, of who Andrew Harrison said "Fuck that nigga" http://deadspin.com/kentuckys-andrew-harrison-on-frank-kaminsky-fuck-that-1695776906 , is playing nicely and regularly in Charlotte.
