This is a perfect situation for lots and lots of barbed wire. Tons of it. Preferably that famous razor sharp concertina barbed wire. Surround them with wire. That keeps them in, and resuppliers out.

The Park Service could charge admission and call it a Japanese internment reenactment.

Then, if LEO gets bored, gas the building occasionally.

So if people hole up in the Washington Monument armed with ARs, then the authorities should let pizza deliveries through for a year or so.

Comments in the Chucky Pierce piece are good reading.

Sedition? Just curious. When the BLM or some college kids take over some building or street, does Charles P.Pierce call that sedition? Or is that A demostration?

White guys with guns, it's sedition. White college kids with greivances, it a protest.

Well, you haven't even said what you'd like to see done at the Bird Sanctuary, so I'm not sure what your argument is.

Should they be removed, immediately, with force, at the risk of the lives of law enforcement, because that sounds what you're advocating for.

As for Alcatraz, it's simply to point out that it's not without precedent to wait out an "occupation" of Federal land. They didn't even cut electricity to Alcatraz for some 18 months.

Arming themselves and declaring an intent to commit violent acts if the government tries to intervene makes them fundamentally different from a run of the mill student protest.

Were those groups armed and threatening to shoot anyone who comes into the building?

It's not a bird sanctuary, let alone a Bird Sanctuary. It is a National Wildlife Refuge.

Surround them. End the delivery of supplies. Give them X hours to surrender. Then attempt to arrest them. If they resist, respond with appropriate force. Seize their firearms, trucks and send them to prison. Don't let them walk free to celebrate their achievement on Hannity or InfoWars.

I know we went back and forth earlier, but I'm with you on this. No reason to put law enforcement at undue risk here.

If they go the Manuel Noriega route, I'm wondering what is on the playlist? Yanni? Dixie Chicks? Joan Baez?
