There will be a standalone comic in February that explains C3PO's arm. In a companion book, it's spelled out that it's a memento of "another droid's sacrifice."

Did anyone else notice that Han had basically the same facial expression when he was killed as he did when he was frozen in carbonite?

Or notice that Carrie Fisher had basically the same facial expression throughout the movie?

Sixty-year-old women who drank heavily in their 20s and 30s do not typically age well.

    Loved her response, though.

"Youth and beauty aren't accomplishments. They're the temporary happy by-products of time and/or DNA. Don't hold your breath for either."

At this point, I fear that the audience - and it's partly Abrams's fault - might be putting way too many of their chips on the question of Rey's parentage. Instead of a story about a young woman's journey, this has become a mystery story to which there is unlikely to be a satisfying answer. It's too much to hinge a three-film story upon, just like the ultimate nature of the island was too much of a burden for the "LOST" plot to bear.

I like having unanswered questions. But in some respects, they have simply crushed this kind of storytelling under their weight.

She also brings her dog to TV interviews. Another plus.
