For Jetes: Over 75 percent. Under 100 percent.

Why is that the question? That's not the rule.

If the newly-formed electorate can give Griffey 99.3 and boost Piazza by 15 percent, I'd put Jeter's over-under at 97.5

I don't understand how anyone chooses not vote for Griffey, unless it is out of sheer curmudgeonly "no one gets in unanimously".

Is Junior better than Willie Mays? Better than Babe Ruth? Better than Hank Aaron?

If the answer is no, then he cannot be a unanimous choice.

If he was a unanimous choice, then he would be considered better than anyone else who ever played.

    Again:

They think there are 11 Hall of Famers on the ballot.

They know Griffey is going to get in.

They vote for the other 10.

He can't be a unanimous choice because people of the past voted like morons?

I don't agree with Dick about not ranking if you have 11 candidates but that is the only half ass legitimate argument as to why to leave Griffey off your ballot.

Not agreeing with it, but that's the stance.

And people crying about not getting 100% is as tiresome as those making sore someone does not get 100%.

Yeah, I don't get this notion that someone should have their vote revoked because they didn't vote for a certain "can't miss" Hall of Famer.

If you're qualified and you get a ballot, then you can vote for whoever you damn well please. It's a subjective vote. You do have the right to be stupid in this country if you so desire.

The Heisman has twice as many voters as the baseball Hall of Fame. Seems excessive.
