From an admittedly short search online, it seems that people with a shit ton of money put most of it in investments, not banks.

    Is there a difference?

A difference between money sitting down the street at SunTrust and it sitting in an investment fund? I'd assume so.

You're investing in either case. And it winds up "sitting" in neither case.

With all that money, you'd graduate from "bank" to "wealth management firm," and you'd pay somebody to decide which financial institutions get to play with your money.

Me, I could have it all spent in 30 days. Guarantee it.

My best friend's a stock broker/investment adviser who has a pretty good business. He's got clients big (once he wound up managing, for a brief time, a few million that a local billionaire forgot he had) and he's got clients small. I've told him if I win, he's getting handed the responsibility of managing at least $200 million, and I'm going to insist on the standard 1% a year fee. I'm also going to insist on two more strokes a round.

I have a buddy like that who runs a wealth-management firm. He'd get the bulk of my money to manage too but even if he gave me two strokes, he'd still kick my ass all over the course.

I got two numbers on my one ticket. I feel like a winner. Not $1.5 billion good, but good.

In that location, it could be the Raiders' next owner holding that ticket.
