The smart money was on the Broncos. But it was also on the Cardinals.

The only thing that saved me yesterday was loading up on the Panthers at the end but I had nearly everything else attached to NE -3.

Yet I went 1-8 ATS on college basketball on Saturday. That's really really hard to do!

The whole Gronk being dehydrated after the catch at the start of the second half was super strange. It wasn't warm and if he felt dehydrated, why not get an IV at halftime? I wonder if it was a reaction to a pain shot.

It looked like he got hurt when a defender tackled him with a hit on the hip area at the sideline during the first quarter. He briefly pulled himself from the game at that point and looked slower the rest of the game. I didn't hear the part about dehydration, I just thought he was hobbled by the hit for the rest of the game. That is strange.

They showed him drinking about a gallon of water. They kept squirting it into his mouth. I thought it was strange, too.

He did come up kind of funny after that hit and the one at the start of the second half. As Ace said, they were practically water boarding him from that Gatorade bottle after he came out of the game after the catch early in the 3rd quarter.

"Dehydration" sounded like false info the Patriots gave out assuming the Broncos were monitoring the telecast. That seems like something Belichick would do, anyway.

Blinn College congratulates its former attendee Cam Newton and hopes that Cam can complete the Triple Crown of Football Championships, The NJCAA National Championship, The NCAA Championship and the NFL Championship.

From my memory of covering track meets, the treatment they were giving Gronk on the sidelines, especially the work on his legs, sure looked like dehydration cramping to me.

He would also become the first Heisman-winning quarterback to win an NFL MVP.

He and Marcus Allen could be the only players to win a Heisman, national championship, NFL MVP and Super Bowl. Allen's national championship gets a bit of an asterisk, since he was a freshman back-up (to Charles White and Lynn Cain) who rushed for only 171 yards and one touchdown that year.

Yes he will be. Paul Hornung won the Heisman and the NFL MVP but did it as a halfback. Hornung also played defense and punted in college.
