Was a little off earlier on the Iowa delegate count:

 

I totally agree that the narrative is the biggest thing.

But, as Trump's campaign is so different, this was a crucial first step to see if anyone would really come out and vote for him, and they did.

Given that voting is easier in other states, and evangelicals aren't as prominent, that's a good sign for Trump, regardless of the narrative.

 

Hillary's only credible challenger is an honest to God Socialist ... and he's dead even with her. A quasi-sane Republican can beat her, and Rubio took a big step towards filling that bill tonight.

 

People criticizing Cruz for not speaking yet.

He won, but everyone's going to be asleep before he gives his victory speech.

Meanwhile, Rubio gave his own victory speech right before the late local news.

 

If there's one thing that's been consistent about this primary season, it's that the conventional wisdom remains constantly wrong.

We got record turnout, and that benefited Cruz, not Trump, and the "gold standard" Iowa Register poll was nearly worthless.

Biggest bulk of outstanding ridings are Polk County (Des Moines), which favors Clinton. Think she's going to wheeze across the line.
