Either your mom dropped you on your head repeatedly, or you've necked a few gallons of absinthe.

He doesn't appeal to the media-manufactured rage that has permeated the party since Obama took over. A lot of "Christians" in particular get off on feeling persecuted in ways that Bush doesn't choose to address.

Alma's one of those Christians who's embarrassed by other "Christians".

You're under the impression it should be some other way?

The Christian witness is what Christians got. Piss it away on self-righteous hooey, and what's it worth?

There's a lot of things Christianity is absolutely not, and many of those things are bound up in a friction between the prosperity gospel and the actual gospel.

I find it near unfathomable that a christian seriously living out their faith and seriously following politics would vote for Cruz or Trump. One is a Pharisee, the other a capricious, Herod-like figure.

The Sklar Brothers' podcast had a recent episode talking to the comedian who came up with that sign.

Does anyone think Marco Rubio sugar daddy Norman Braman and many other billionaires would be in favor of no capital gains tax, a move that would leave some of the wealthiest people in the United States paying ZERO taxes on income?

    http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/04/u...l-gains-tax-is-a-break-with-the-gop.html?_r=0

But the once-fringe idea of abolishing a capital-gains tax is going mainstream this year courtesy of Senator Marco Rubio. His tax plan breaks with past establishment Republican candidates for president in its extreme generosity to taxpayers who derive their income from investments rather than work.

His plan would impose no tax at all on interest, dividends or capital gain income from stocks. It would also set a maximum tax rate of 25 percent on business income, both for large corporations and small ones. In many cases, that would mean business owners would pay a lower tax rate on profits than their employees would pay on their wages — even after counting both taxes paid by the business and those paid by the business owner directly.

Marco would expand the child tax credit, so there's that.
