The best way to make sure whether you really want to have a vasectomy is to have a couple kids.

I wonder how much cash I can make lending mine out to people who are on the fence.

    Reacher,
It sounds like you're in the right place. I hope you tolerate the procedure well ! :)

Anyhoo, if I would ever find myself single again, I would have a vasectomy. My tadpoles are magic baby makers. Too old to go through that (overall rewarding) process again.

Update. The deed is done. Took 10 minutes, start to finish. Popped a couple Valium before hand and, as you can imagine, that helped relax me a ton.

No assistant. Just the doctor. The numbing shots (3 in total) weren't nearly as painful as I had feared. Felt absolutely nothing but some minor pressure after that. We chatted about TV, the Super Bowl, and National Signing Day.

I'm currently laying on the sofa with a bag of frozen peas on my beanbag. Vicodin is on the way if I need it tomorrow. Hopefully not.

I'm sure you all were just dying for that update.

The most unpleasant thing seems to be the discussion of national signing day.

Ha. Mostly, we talked about the Michigan (his alma mater) and only in general terms. And a local kid who signed with Bama last year. So not bad. But yeah. That may have been the worst part, which is great.

Also, beware Vicodin, which can cause really unpleasant constipation.

When I went through my back injury and eventual surgery in 2012, I was chewing about 8-16 Vics a day.
I did not move my bowels for a long time.

When I finally had my break-through event, I expelled a hard, dense boulder of feces that nearly tore me asunder.

I'm gonna try to get by with Advil as long as possible. Fingers crossed.

Good nugget on the constipation though. Didn't know that.
