Right there with you. I hadn't watched the NBA regularly in years. I'm watching it again, and it's 100% because of the Warriors.

I might as well have written that.

I am to the point where I am pissed if a Warriors game is on nationally and I don't watch or dvr them. And I have no connection to them at all. They are just that much fun to watch.

I can't get the image to work out, but B/R's Instagram feed yesterday put out a graphic that showed:

    JAMES HARDEN 407 isolation possessions
    WARRIORS TEAM 350 isolation possessions

To get a broader appreciation for what Kerr brought to the team, I suggest anyone interested go back and watch the MJax team against the Spurs in '13 and the Clips in '14; if there was no fast break available, it became simply find the mismatch (Barnes usually) and post him up and have Steph stand in the corner; or even worse have Jarrett Jack pound the ball and fire up a jumper (ok, he made more than a few big shots) but it was at the expense of under-utilizing Steph. It killed me to watch.

The '14-'15 and '15-16 W's are committed to ball movement; even at the end of the game, the W's run the offense, even when I just want it to be Curry/Draymond PNR every time down, and Steph going 1 on 1, the W's instead run the offense and more times than not get a great shot out of the play. It is a much more fulfilling watch for this old guy.

So when MJax says "cannot forget about the caterpillar"; okay yes, you got them to play D, but that butterfly is light years from when he was there.

Ha, Jerrett Jack. There were more than a few people in the Bay Area mad that he wasn't with the team last year. Don't hear that name so much any more.

I call those folks the "un-analytics"; the ones who still only looked at ppg, etc.

The same crowd that nearly booed Lacob off the dais for the Monta Ellis trade,no doubt.

This is awful -- Monty Williams' wife died Wednesday, a day after an oncoming car swerved into her lane. She was 44.

'Eloquent matriarch' Ingrid Williams will be missed by all that her knew her: Jeff Duncan

Williams is an OKC assistant now, but he was the Pelicans' coach when Ryan Anderson's girlfriend killed herself. That SI piece went into great detail about how tough that was on Williams and how Anderson slept in the Williamses' living room that first night and leaned on Monty and Ingrid throughout the ordeal.

    Five kids too. Damn.

Last night's 3-point shootout and slam dunk contest were great, but the game tonight is an embarrassment. 145-136 after three quarters. Maybe try showing a little bit of pride at the defensive end of the floor?
