Wow, is that fodder for his rivals, especially since it's a campaign-sponsored commercial, complete with his endorsement. I hope Trump or someone has the balls to take him to town over that. The Evangelical favorite mocks Alcoholics Anonymous, complete with a porn star!

I mean, it's sort of funny, but I don't see how it impacts his campaign negatively. It doesn't speak to the issues or to Cruz's character or positions. Listen, I think he's a dangerous moron, but I don't see how this commercial or the need to yank it influences a single voter.

I bought Cruz's book this week and have started reading it. I'll let you guys know some highlights. His introduction is about the debt ceiling battle, and he comes off as pretty reasonable with his explanation.

This is outside the box thinking, but Cruz could've used the entire snafu as an opportunity to draw parallels between Christ's interaction with society's shunned and his own faith.

David Byrne on the echo chamber:

We would like to think of the web at a place of pluralism—a place where many voices, often at odds with one another, can be heard. A place of diversity. A place to find out what wonderful and unexpected stuff exists that is different than anything and everything you already know. It seems that may have been true with net 1.0, but as market forces increasingly take effect, the diversity of voices, while it still exists, is now so filtered and targeted that you may only hear echoes of what you already believe.

So trite and dumb. It's not the net and it's not market forces. It's human nature. But if it makes you feel better, blame the market.

[EDIT] And the general point has been made a million times.

Has Ted Cruz even seen Office Space? Does he not get that the folks crushing the computer are our heroes of the working class?

I find it intrguing that the "politics" thread in named for Trump. Being that most journalists are solid conservatives, Trump must feel honored by the obsession.

All these Sanders fans are bigoted against women and have a special place in hell.
