I'll take a second chance team.

Not sure why but just not into this season yet. Thought Columbia was interesting and love Mexico City.

TAR was in New Zealand a few seasons back when Phil's dad was with him at the mat. Don't know if they hit Australia too.

And they need to come to Canada.

Per Wikipedia, TAR has hit Australia in 4 seasons: 2, 4, 9 and 18. In the 9th season, they went to Perth and Darwin; in the 18th season, they started in Sydney and went into the Outback for a leg.

They went to Canada in the finale of season 5 and during the ill-fated Family Season (8).

Knew the family season came to Canada - believe that was the final leg - but nobody acknowledges that season. Of course we have our own TAR Canada, which goes to other countries, don't ya know.

I remember the season the came to Canada because of how awesome Joyce and Uchenna were. She shaved her head at a fast forward and looked great.

I ended up working with the guy who designed the challenges in Calgary, turns out they edited out the challenges in Banff.

I have yet to figure out what everybody (anybody) had against the family season. It must have just been me, but I recall actually liking it quite a bit. The people on the teams meant something to each other, most were more normal, regular people than the participants have been on in recent years, and I, at least, didn't mind that it mostly stayed within the U.S.

I loved Joyce and Uchenna because they beat Rob and Amber. What an insufferable pair.

My all-time fav TAR winners will forever be Chip and Kim.

I, too, enjoyed the family season. Anything would be better than this season's wannabe stars who are only trying to promote their brand(s).

I liked Chip and Kim, too. There was no way you couldn't. But I also loved BJ and Tyler.

I liked BJ and Tyler too. I remember them going to Japan and everyone else complaining that it wasn't fair that one of them spoke Japanese because they had an advantage. Um, hello, YOU could have learned Japanese. Pretty sure I'd learn at least a few phrases (Take me to the airport. Please go faster. How much?) in the major languages (Spanish, French, German, Swahili, Arabic, Chinese). As well as learning how to swim. Now I just need a teammate who will jump out of a plane/bungee jump at any death-defying road blocks.

I would enjoy an Amazing Race with just a pair (instead of the families) that just traveled in the US. There are so many great locations here in the states that they could go to, but they only go maybe a quarter of the first leg and half of the final leg here, so they can't really spend a lot of time checking out the good ol' US of A.

"Like" the last sentence of that first paragraph, and I'd nominate myself as your partner -- except that we have the same needs! :)

As for the second paragraph, that is a great idea, Wenders. We should contact the show and suggest it. We could pitch it touting the potential travel savings. :)(Maybe it could go, say, toward a pot of money to be used for the second- and third-place teams? I have long wished that show didn't call for the winners to get $1 million, and the other finishers get nothing in prize money).
