Doesn't have to be an independent. Trump could get nomination of one of the fringe parties who maintain ballot spots in almost all 50 states.

I don't know about that but I do like dropping in and discussing the political scene with liberals WHO WILL argue back. So many Sanders supporters around me just don't discuss it (one of those 'two things we don't discuss: religion and politics') or the Clinton people only give you the "I think it's time for a woman president" with nothing else.
