The only thing that makes sense is Rubio dropping out. Cruz already has one victory -- although it was only Iowa -- and is well ahead in his home state, while Rubio trails Trump badly in his own home state.

 

If the FBI recommends indictment and the Obama Justice Department does nothing, there will be all kinds of ads on the airwaves right through the election. I do love the fact that the "Nothing to see here" crowd remains completely smug.

 

Cruz is going to be squeezed by Rubio and Trump. Rubio isn't running for Senate this year. He can run as long as people are willing to fund him and do his best to distance the party from Trump. Maybe do some dirty work and come back in four years. Cruz is kind of in no-mans-land. There can't be too much room between Trump and Rubio to find votes.

 

None of which has anything to do with Cranberry's reflexive and intellectually dishonest playing of the race card.

This is the only possible path to stop Trump. Yet Cruz is so stubborn and unlikeable that he won't leave the race anytime soon.
