Yeah, I saw James miss a game winning shot and then turn around and sit out the next game, essentially insuring a 2 game losing streak. Meaningless I suppose. The Cavs should be #1 seed in the East.

Unless they lose the No. 1 seed by a game, it is. Then again, if they don't win a title, he'll be skewered, and they don't have a great chance without a well-timed injury. So let the torching continue.

Since he joined Twitter, Phil Jackson has been exposed as an idiot.

    Maybe he meant Seth Curry?

Actually, he meant Moses Scurry. He went for a deep cut.

To me, the NBA is the Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs.

The rest of the teams are the Washington Generals.

The Generals are insulted by any comparison to the 76ers and Lakers

As silly as that sounds, I kind of know what he means. Curry has such a quick release and smooth shots vein when creating for himself, there aren't that many comparisons I can think of. Two yet come to mind are Chris Jackson and jay Edwards in college as ridiculous as that sounds.

As much as I love the way Popovich manages his roster and plays the long game during what is often a meaningless regular season, it's going to suck if the Warriors finish 74-8 and lose to the Spurs in the Western Conference finals.
When somebody gets into rare air the way this Warriors team has, with the way they've attacked the regular season and embraced an assault on history, you want to see them rewarded for it.

Curry "questionable" for tomorrow night at home against Atlanta.

Yeah I didn't get the backlash to Phil's tweet. Well, I guess did, since he deliberately sort of provokes folks and people like telling him how much smarter they are than he is. #goink

But it's okay to suggest someone in the past reminds you of Curry. The new genre of writing is the We've-Never-Seen-Anything-Like-This style, and, yes, we've never seen a guy dominate like Curry with the 3-pointer or make shooting 35 footers look so easy. But if you're trying to think of shorter players who were capable of scoring 50-plus, there's no harm in saying Abdul-Rauf reminds you of Curry. Especially college, of course, but he had his moments in the pros, too. It's just that those moments weren't every night, like Curry.

Speaking of Tweets, Nate Silver had one the other night wondering if there was ever a team that was as popular and great as the Warriors. I mean, the Bulls of the 90s, I think, were an obvious choice. We can debate who'd win a 7-game series but their popularity across the country was ridiculous. I don't think the Warriors are at that stage yet, even if they do get more Tweets about their games than the '96 Bulls received. I'm sure a lot of bandwagon fans have emerged since 2014, but I doubt it compares to the number of people who found themselves becoming huge Bulls fans starting in, say, 1991 and ending in 1998.
