Why does a tax cut have to "pay for itself"? Does any spending program ever "pay for itself"? There is a benefit to what some of the programs do, but there's also a benefit to the people keeping their own money rather than wasting it on all the programs that don't actually work.

OT, when it comes to intelligent analysis, I'd take Maddow over Jindal every time. Is she a bull goose liberal? Sure. Thing is that Jindal is trying to sell me that just because the Republican party has sold Obama hate for eight years it is his fault that the Republicans allowed a Trump to not only run but be the front runner. That's complete bullshit. Trump has used the kneejerk hatred of all things Obama as a tool, but this is on the Republican establishment and voters.
