Right. The problem is prefacing it with, "Of course, Donald is right ..."

That's like a coach I once covered who, during a losing streak, announced after the game, "I'll sit here and do the right thing and say that I take all the blame for this, but, believe you me, behind closed doors there is going to be lots of blame to go around!"

When you actively attract the xenophobic and the enraged, it shouldn't be surprising when they turn violent.

Also doesn't help when the barker himself says from the podium he'd like to "punch them in the face" when protestors present themselves and that "back in the old days, they'd leave on a stretcher."
