Our military capability and readiness have been affected both by the drawdown (which happens after every war) and by the sequester.

Funding levels are down significantly - whether that is adequate now or not doesn't change that.

And the cuts only get deeper for the next four years or so. That doesn't happen in a vacuum.

That aside, our military is not nearly as big as it'll need to be if Trump gets elected and starts swinging his dick all over the world.

YF, let me caution that you're going to be faced with a dilemma after HRC is elected and you cannot decide whether to call her a raging liberal or a neocon.

 

I need to spend a few hours trying to truly understand the conservative animus toward the Clintons, and especially Hillary. I understand YF's issues with her as a person. But from a policy standpoint, they are pretty moderate. Bill frequently worked with the Republican Congress against the wishes of a Democratic Congress - on welfare reform, for example.

I don't get it.
