Bernie should stay in until the FBI primary is over.

 

From a strategy standpoint, I think you'd rather stay in the headlines/gain the free media coverage. And even if there are Clinton miststeps you'd rather have her make them now than 6 months from now.

 

Missouri is a GOP dog fight right now. Etween the two front-runners.

 

You also gotta ask, is it over on the GOP side too? Rubio is out and Cruz is what he turned out to be, a wallflower on debate day and a wallflower at the ballot box. Kasich's first win is too little, too late.

 

This is my thinking too. Keep her name in the news as long as you can and hope she doesn't screw up too badly.

 

GOP is definitely not over. Denying Trump Ohio kept the paths to him getting under 50% on the board. But Trump is still favored. Candidates dropping out don't necessarily help Trump. Carson dropping out has absolutely meant a boost for Rubio.

But Trump is still definitely favored.

Missouri is still up in the air too. Denying him that would help even more. But I think he's going to eke it out.

 

Vombatus, let's consider the position of the FBI crew on the e-mail case. What's the upside of finding anything and having their whole lives spread out for inspection by a voracious media? Now there's the downside. You do that, and Clinton wins anyway. That could wind up with you in charge of the Coeur d'Alene bureau until retirement. Far better to issue the usual bag of government fog words.

 

Yeah, the GOP race is over.

 

It sure as shit isn't over. But I think we can all root for a contested convention.

 

CNN's bottom line has Cruz ahead of Trump in Missouri, even thought he has 4,000 fewer votes.

 

Sanders will stay in as long as he has money. This was never about winning for him, but about speaking about Wall Street and wealth inequality. It isn't like he has a political legacy to protect. This IS his political legacy.
