They not only lied, they removed evidence from the scene. It's unbelievable.

If this was some local cop, and an African-American teen, there'd be demonstrations.

It's everything we're supposed to be worried about, and we have it on video. The FBI agents, "huddle" and then one picks up the casings. And they did it in front of State/local law enforcement, who had already seen the casings on the ground.

See the wiki under "Paperwork - how to avoid".

    Stupid.

Probably true. Shooting appears to be completely justified. But, still colossally stupid.

The most distressing thing about that shooting was how poor of a shot the FBI agents were.

And they were members of a sharp shooting team, right?

Maybe that's what they were trying to cover up.

I couldn't understand why there were so damn many shots fired over a 5-10 minute period when nobody (except Finicum) was shooting back or doing anything threatening. Did I miss something?

    Some cops are dirty. Period.

The entire team of FBI agents agreed to, and went along with, a coverup.

    That sounds systemic.

Not bright enough to think to surrender without being asked?

That sounds like every single law enforcement organization.

Well, one of my broader points, for years, is that federal law enforcement is not much different than local law enforcement.

Yet, not a single FBI shooting in 10 years or more has been found to be unjustified.

Few - at any level - are. The legal barrier is if an officer feared for their own or someone else's safety. The fear doesn't have to be justified to make the shooting justified.
