How could a non-conservative become the nominee of the conservative party when he clearly is not one at all? The uncomfortable fact is that conservative intellectuals and leaders have been working for years to make the term become meaningless, so some charlatan was inevitable.

When he announced his candidacy in April 2015, a CNN poll found that only 3 percent of voters registered as Democrats supported him for president.

Since then, he's won 9 primaries/caucuses, given Hillary a great battle in several other states, and raised millions in campaign contributions from thousands and thousands of individual supporters. As a SOCIALIST.

Most importantly, we've discovered a sizable portion of Americans agree with Sanders on the importance of class warfare, and making sure the 99 percent is aware of who stands with them, and who stands with the 1 percent. It's a very important step for the future of America.

Hopefully, it's not just the Republican Party that's fracturing.

Donald Trump's primary romp boosts another candidate: Hillary Clinton

In Ohio, the industrial state in which Clinton and her challenger Bernie Sanders fought most fiercely, two-thirds of voters said that Clinton was the strongest candidate to defeat Trump, and they went for her by a factor of 4 to 1.

More than half the Ohio electorate actually embraced Sanders’ main argument in the state, that trade deals such as those Clinton has backed in the past had cost American jobs. But the majority of those voters sided with Clinton anyway.

Those who made up their minds on election day, and thus were most influenced by recent events, also went easily for Clinton over Sanders. All told, it suggested something of a cascade toward the former secretary of State as Trump has dominated news coverage of the campaign.

 

This is exactly what I was saying in my post. Maybe someday we won't have to settle for the lesser of two evils.
