I'm surprised there hasn't been more reporting on the story, other than the endless opinion pieces that reach the same conclusion.
Does this happen in other dressing rooms across sports? Surely there is another Drake laRoche somewhere.

Giants used to have a lot of kids in the clubhouse, until Darren Baker nearly got run over during the World Series. Since then, not so much

    Reporting?

That takes work. And time. And a budget.

    Opinions are plentiful and free.

So you're that guy who insists that a sportswriter had to nose in at the first chance possible, or otherwise it's illegitimate to ever do it?

That might be worse than the moralist.

First chance possible? No. But if so many people feel oh so strongly that Adam LaRoche is unfit, it would have been nice to hear some time before he had left baseball in his rear view.

Has anyone written this column about any kids?

It was written about - at length - in this story. Perhaps this story has already been posted here.

LaRoche's wife, Jenn, makes it possible by organizing a complicated schedule that includes the Sox's travel, Drake and Montana's schooling and youth baseball and softball games between the families' homes in the Chicago area and Kansas. Drake skips some Sox home games for his own baseball games, and the family often travels back to Kansas when they don't go on trips with their dad.

The children go to their local school in Kansas when they're at home, but the family has an arrangement with the school to take weeks worth of homework with them when they're on the road. "It's a little harder not being with all the teachers, but I can get by," Drake said.

Nice school, to let them do that, but maybe it's private.

Yes, everyone here is aware that Drake's presence and education have been written about. It's never been criticized, though. Certainly we've never read about how a clubhouse is no place for kids. Now, suddenly, many people are weighing in on that, despite the fact that there is no indication that Kenny Williams put that at issue.

The 35-year-old porn star is a documentary that needs telling.
