No, but it sure sounds like you believe all Muslims are going to blow themselves up. Do you believe that?

My theory is that if someone is so willing to kill themselves, or others or both, for an irrational belief, whether it's religion, a flag ban, a thought that a place is selling baby parts, then they have something wrong with them mentally.

And what I was trying to get at earlier, was that I think that more terror attacks actually diminish the "terror" they are intended to inflict. We've seen how school shootings are treated now, what used to be "unthinkable" is now frequent enough that we almost reflexively know how to react. Outrage, vigils, impromptu memorials. Then we move on. We have learned to cope with the possibility of terror attacks. We don't stop gathering in public or whatever.

If it helps get things started I'm willing to hump Zoe Saldana.

How many people did we kill --- and how many of our own soldiers died --- because of an irrational belief that if some woebegone nation in Southeast Asia became communist it would be a catastrophe?

"Irrational" typically seems to apply only if someone else believes something, rarely if we do.

Yep, we were quite irrational during the post-World War II Red Scare, weren't we? I mean, it was understandable to be nervous about a possible end of the world with a nuclear war with the USSR, but frankly, we shouldn't have given a shit if South Vietnam became Communist. If anything, it showed how fearful we were that the South Vietnamese might become Communist, and actually like it.

I like America very much. I just don't like the emotional chickenhawks who are so quick to send other people off to die for irrational reasons.

And BTW, for the third time, you still haven't answered what the "huge difference between the random nutjob taking innocent lives and the latest organized attack on the ideals by which most of us live." What is the "huge difference?"
