At this point, the Hell's Angels should step in and just beat the shit out of Trump and Cruz on national TV.

It's funny. North Korea and Iran get get nukes, and that's not a big deal. But, to suggest that Japan and South Korea pay for more of their own defense, including potentially building a nuclear arsenal, is outrageous.

And, the same goes for the reaction to the suggestion that we take a harder line with the Saudis. For decades, both parties have been criticized (usually by supporters of the party not holding the presidency) for kissing their ass. Now Trump suggests we stop buying their oil unless they contribute more (in troops or funds) to the fight against terror, and people freak out.

Andrea Mitchel says he doesn't know anything.

I would guess that a lot of people outside the beltway agree with Trump in both of these instances.

Yeah, he's a real foreign policy visionary.

    Not at all.

But, ask yourself, does the public disagree with Trump on either of these issues?

The response to Trump is essentially, "foreign policy isn't as simple as Trump makes it out to be."

Trump's response is that it's not as complicated as it's made out to be.

Trump is putting nations on notice that it's not going to be business as usual if he is President. America is not going to continue to be taken advantage of, and pay a higher cost, in dollar and blood, than our allies, for us to provide for their defense.

That's not going no to be an unpopular general election position, especially against a neocon, interventionist like Hillary Clinton.
