Watching the replay of the town hall now. Damn, he and Cruz are both monumental assholes in their condescension to the host, whether you like him or not. But Cooper telling Trump more than once he sounded like a 5 year old with his "I didn't start it" defense of the Cruz wife thing was just classic. And the woman in almost every shot of Trump just shaking her head and rolling her eyes could become a meme.

There is nothing to prove. I made no accusations. Yet again, you fail.

It is possible Dick is lying about not voting, but I don't know. Even if he is telling the truth, that in itself does not make him objective. You didn't actually buy into that act, did you?

Leave the trolling to Dick. His bullshit is getting tiresome, you just don't do it well.

It's strange how much this upsets you. In a polarized nation, I elected to check out of the process for an election cycle, to observe it as an outsider. It doesn't "make [me] objective," but it certainly permits me to view this at a very helpful remove. I see how emotionally invested people become in favor - or against - candidates. Even YF and Mr. Sunshine have now convinced themselves that Donald Trump's policy ideas are well thought-out. Smart guys.

You won't see that happen to me.

I knew you couldn't resist. That little rhetorical pretzel you are twisting yourself into is truly amusing. Thank you.

    I'm not following.

Look, I decided to put country first this election. You may not agree with that, and you are not necessarily alone. I can tell you that the other day I was very humbled to receive a brief PM from someone I would consider a true Titan of sports journalism. The subject like was: "Your decision not to vote." And the message was just two words, but it really said it all: "Thank you." And he signed it with his real name.

It came at a low point, when I was starting to rethink my decision, mostly because I had been observing some of the bickering here, and did not feel like I was having the impact I wanted to. But that simple PM was exactly what I needed.

If there is indeed a God, I feel like He is working through me this campaign.

Hillary's campaign really is "tone" deaf:

And after the election, Dick is just going to walk the Earth.

We have fucked up foreign policy in just about every conceivable way since Truman's stupid Doctrine in 1947.

    That's 69 years and 11 presidents.

And we were no great shakes before then, either. But we tended to ignore shit instead of making it worse.

The policy of containment of the Soviet Union in Europe was a success. When applied to other regions of the world, it wasn't, just as its creator George Kennan warned.
