Apparently it isn't, but I don't want to force a victim of a very serious crime to be punished because they don't want to live with the consequences of the crime.

 

Framing the issue as a "women's choice" is pretty awful when even most pro-choices seem to think the overall number of abortions should decline.

 

Because I said it was.

 

I never said abortion was a good thing and everyone ought to have them.

 

Take punishment out of the equation. Assuming that life begins at conception, should there be a rape/incest exception for doctors?

 

Sure. Somebody has to do it.

 

Why shouldn't everyone? Just a buncha cells.

 

How is that exception compatible with the belief that life begins at conception?

 

Maybe some people don't want to have abortions.

 

Does it really matter?

 

Yes. It matters a great deal. It matters enough that whenever someone comes out against such an exception, controversy ensues.

 

Well, I think we can all be grateful that Der Trumpenfuhrer has devoted substantial thought and prayerful reflection to this matter.
