I'm not sure if it was legal or not before Roe v. Wade, I was just giving an (broad) example of what may come up that would force you to abort. So the woman has a medical condition that places her life in danger as a direct result of the pregnancy. There are a few conditions where this is possible, though I don't know how common it might be.

    Ridiculous.

No one complained when Mathews quizzed Trump on the issue, or when Trump got beaten up over it.

You weren't here demanding we get back to politics.

Why shouldn't we know where the leading Democratic candidate stands on issues related to abortion? Why do Dems act offended when it's brought up?

And, let's be clear, Hillary is trying to beat up Sanders on abortion. It's not like she hasn't made an issue of it:

    And, Sanders doesn't appreciate it:

I love it when people who barely comment on politics want their thread back.

Just say what you mean, YF.

"I think Hillary Clinton would be hurt politically by having to publicly issue a nuanced stance on a controversial issue, so I want to see that happen."

Clinton campaigns on her support for abortion, but we shouldn't question how far the support goes:

“Last night, Senator Sanders agreed that Donald Trump’s comments were shameful, but then he said they were a distraction from, and I quote, ‘a serious discussion about the serious issues facing America,’” Clinton said Thursday at a rally in New York state. “To me, this is a serious issue and it is a very serious discussion.”
    ...
“I know Senator Sanders supports a woman’s right to choose, but I also know Planned Parenthood Action Fund and NARAL endorsed me because I have led on this issue, I have fought on this issue,” she told the crowd at the State University of New York at Purchase. “We need a president who is passionate about this, seeing it as a top priority because women’s health is under assault across America.”

Yes. Of course. That's exactly what I mean.

And, if the Democratic part faced an adversarial press, she would be asked questions like this, as Republicans are.

And, again, let's be clear, when Republicans are getting beat up on the issue, no one complains.

As soon as I press Dems on the issue, people want to change the subject.

Hell, Baron made fellow Dems uncomfortable with his answers, to the degree that he was asked to stop talking about it.

Exactly. It's just another round of "some people who disagree with me are hypocritical on some issues." Which is a stunningly stupid game to play as it is, the intellectual version of listing Cops as your favorite TV show, but it's a million times more insufferable when couched in the concern-trolling "I'm just asking questions" game.

    Media Bad! GRRRRRRRR

Double bonus points because YF gets to whine about the media and Clinton in the same discussion.

Some Bernie supporters already think her answer to Fox allows for too many limits on a woman's right to choose.

So, why aren't we trying to find out exactly where she stands?
