The level of moral clarity that liberals - as essentially a liberal myself - display on this issue perplexes me. Presuming that the viable fetus is alive, it is as vulnerable a human being as we can fathom. Liberals, who typically claim to afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted, in this unique instance elect to side with the woman because she has dominion over this vulnerable other human. It's difficult to grasp for me.

Stipulating arguendo that they're the same ... who gives a fuck? Just because someone else is wrong about X doesn't mean that your being wrong about Y is OK.
