There a few in my vicinity. But yes, most are just pubs that serve food.

In Houston, my place for Irish food, beer, and especially music, is this joint:

Nice! That was my go-to team trivia joint when I lived in Houston.

 

Up in Alexandria a decent amount for work, so I'll have to keep this place in mind. Looks awesome.

 

Whole restaurants? Not just pubs? I like Irish pub food -- shepherds pie, bangors and mash, fish and chips, colcannon, champ, etc. -- but my people aren't generally known for their cuisine.

Not a fan of Indian food, generally, but I like curried chicken salad.

 

Corned beef boxty is the best Irish dish. Inarguable among the sane .

 

Most were mixed, but I was surprised to find multiple stand-alone restaurants in the area. One of them was really good. More than boiled potatoes and corned beef.

 

Irish music sucks even more than Irish food, doesn't it? Sure it does.
