Absolutely. I don't even think this was an Utley Rule call. Interfering with a fielder has been in the book forever.

This was not a good free agent market this past winter.
Spending $130 million on 300-pound Johnny Cueto and $70 million on Ian Kennedy is asinine.
You called Happ an "important" part. He's a back-of-the-rotation starter.

We get to debate abortion for 100 page, but we don't get to debate Tim Raines and Nomar Garciaparra? I was just about to note that ... well, I guess it's lost to the ages now.

 

You can say he went 7-2 with a 1.89 ERA in 63 innings with the Buccos -- so yeah, he pitched well for them -- but career numbers say it would have balanced out. He's a .500 pitcher with a 4.03 ERA and 1.38 ERA.

 

I don't want to hammer on the dude today because sometimes I do feel sorry for him, but he displays confirmation bias more than any poster on this site.
